Why the name SeaChange Financial?

Our logo (shown here) should provide a hint...it's a stylised image of the sun rising over the ocean, indicating a fresh new day, bringing with it new challenges and opportunities.

Having been in business for over 25 years, we are convinced that "change is the only constant" both in business and in our personal lives. To keep up and ideally stay ahead, we need to constantly and creatively look to our future and ensure we are well-positioned to adapt and potentially take advantage of changing circumstances. That's where SeaChange Financial comes in.

SeaChange Financial is a privately-owned company which commenced operations as a finance broker accredited with the MFAA. The company now offers a wide range of financial solutions to our clients and holds Australian Credit Licence 380224.

SeaChange Financial is an authorised representative of HNW Planning Pty Ltd AFSL No 225216 who have been providing quality financial services for many years. As part of this structure, SeaChange Financial is able to provide a broad range of financial planning services.

Our core values are to provide a simple, plain-English service based on the highest standards of professionalism and quality. Unlike many financial services, we are not aligned with a single provider. This allows us to offer a wide choice of products to ensure the best match with our clients' needs.

With our offices in Brookvale, we are 'proudly local' and we have lived and worked in the North Shore/Northern Beaches area for the last 20+ years.

Peter Nott is the principal and founder of SeaChange Financial and has been in the finance industry since 2003. Peter specialises in Financial Planning and Finance Broking. Prior to opening the company, Peter held franchises operating successfully in the peninsula area with another mortgage company, together with his partner Jenny Nott. Being focused on wealth creation, Peter has assisted many families into their homes or investment properties in the Manly and Northern Beaches area. Peter now uses his extensive business and investment experience, together with additional specialist expertise from SeaChange Financial's AFSL to provide a broad range of financial services to our clients.

Prior to commencing in the financial services arena, Peter's career in the Information Technology industry spanned nearly 30 years. As an independent consultant, project manager and software developer, Peter's list of clients has included Australian and international banks, telcos, computer firms and government agencies plus many Australian-based companies who are household names. As a software developer, Peter has developed software products for one of the worlds largest computer firms for sale to their customers world wide together with a variety of innovative software for other clients, delivered on-time and on-budget.

At a personal level, Peter is a keen sailor and has strong interests in fishing and boating, camping and travel. Peter lives with his wife Jenny in Seaforth and their three children, Elley, Matt and Will.

Having lived on Sydney’s North Shore/Northern Beaches areas for over 20 years, Jenny Nott is well-versed in real estate, finance and local issues.

Jenny is well-known for her straight-talking, plain-English, commonsense approach which invariably arms our clients with the right advice and puts them at ease.

Jenny’s business management, sales and marketing experience over the past 25 years provides a wealth of experience to her finance broking and real estate roles. Her flair for sales and marketing, her understanding of the market, her energy and enthusiasm and her business professionalism are her hallmarks used to the benefit of our clients in their sale, purchase or financing.

Having built a successful finance broking business over the last eight years has made Jenny, not only extremely familiar with the real estate market, but also deeply familiar from a funding perspective on how to make a deal work to our client’s advantage. Her understanding of property purchases and investments is soundly-based on both her professional and personal investment experience over the years.

Jenny is an active member of the Manly Chamber of Commerce and is an ongoing sponsor of the Royal Far West Children’s Health Service and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
